Clean, spacious and good location. The staff was excellent. We arrived very early and he was kind enough to find us a room for early check-in. Love the washer dryer. It's nice to be able to do a load after 3-4 days.

Our room was too close to the door so we could hear our neighbors. It needs to have better sound-proof doors. The bath tub has two soap dish which was very unusual. It does not need the upper soap dish. We keep bumping into it because the bath tub is small and we would accidentally hit our elbows and head on it. Quite annoying. Other than that, we love the staff and the spaciousness of the room.

(Very well pleased), when we got ready to leave the desk personal helped up load are suv. Ill stay again and again when we are there, (the hotel is in the mix of all the things you want to see), the rooms are very big and lot of space.

None the hotel is well run.

Nice to have 2 separate bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen.

The noice from the road construction going on, while we stayed there. It started very early in the morning. I my part of the world, we would have been compensated for the inconvenience

The two bedroom suite was more like staying in a very nice apartment than a hotel. It was wonderful for us and our two teen girls. We enjoyed Heidi's, the little restaurant adjacent to the hotel and found that we could get much of what we needed for breakfast and lunch at the close by CVS. There is a service at peapod.com that will deliver groceries for free to your room if ordering over 50 dollars. I would definitely recommend that since there is no real grocery store nearby. There is a liquor store one block away. The White House is very close, but the museums are quite a bit further. Wonderful place to stay. During the week muffins, juice and coffee are offered. We also enjoyed the rooftop patio.

Not good if you want daily cleaning service or room service. It is like renting an apartment.

We liked the quality and cost of the suite...being so close to the White House.

    Good

Location!, and the fact that they had the wherewithal to employ "one" or "two" good staff members to accommodate personal preferences, needs.

The manager on "duty" was abrupt and confrontational.

    Fabulous

That I had a kitchen where I could cook. The windows could be open and the bedroom was a good size. the kitchen appilances were clean and modern.

Room cleaning service should be more frequent like every other day.

Very convenient to do things. Liked the space to spread out. I would recommend the place to people staying in DC

Tended to be a little noisy. A lot of hard surfaces in the units making any sound noticeable.

The hotel suites and the locations were nice and well furnished. The kitchenette was foreseen with the most modern equipment.

The responsibility and the attitude of the hotel management (and staff) was in no way in correspondence with the standing of the hotel. I was in no way informed in advance that important works were going on in the hotel, with loud drilling and enormous noise starting every day from 9 a.m. till about 4 p.m. It was impossible to recover from the jetlag or to work in the suite. The hotel management didn't showed any interest and no information was given, in advance at the time of the booking, at the check-in, or in any way later (p.e. a communication leaflet in the room). Three times I tried to contact the hotel Manager, whose direct number was given to me by the reception staff. I left a phone message for him, but I got no reaction, no answer, no interest given from his side. It is quite normal that re-constructions have to take place in a hotel from time to time. But in these circumstances the management has/should take care of a number of primary precautions : - correct information of the guests (starting from the moment of the booking) - assure normal use of the premises by guests - compensations (in the rates) for discomfort (if normal use cannot be assured) - normal follow up of the legitimate concerns of guests. If the discomfort for guests is too high, a hotel with a certain standing, should consider whether it doesn't have to close for the period of the re-construction. Another policy could also be to compensate guests. None of these considerations were taken into account. I had to find out that the payment of my hotel stay was taken from my credit card account at the moment I checked in. Therefore any discussion about the delivered services at the moment of the check out was made impossible.

    Good

Cleanliness, modern design and proximity to city activities

No one offered to give us a discount after letting us know that there was going to be heavy jackhammering from 9am to 4pm for all 4 days that we stayed there...no mentioning of it when reservation was made 3 weeks before either. Breakfast food was very sub-average...did not go well with design ingenuity.

    Superb

location of the hotel on center of the capital.

in the 9th floor on my suite there was very noise left , which have a big sound when arrive to the floor, so he wakeup me of my sleep, many times on every day of my 12th night.

    Superb

I liked the comfort and facilities particularly. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment and we were a group of 3 adults. The space was large and comfortable. The heating system was easy to manage and the kitchen area was better stocked with utensils/equipment than the place we stayed in NYC. I was particularly pleased to have a washing machine and dryer in the apartment. The staff were very welcoming and helpful with information. The location was also excellent - just a short walk from the White House and it was an easy walk to most museums etc.

Our criticisms of AKA are minor. A "light breakfast" is available Monday to Friday. This is tailored to the American market. We would have found it more usuable if more cereal options and toast were provided.

    Good

We like the great location and the friendly and helpful reception staff. Scott from engineering is very responsive and dedicated.

The cleaning staff is one of the poorest we have encountered in our travels. Their attitude is surly and their work poor. On our cleaning last cleaning day, 30 July, dirty sheets were left all day in the general hallway just off the elevator and our room was not cleaned. It was cleaned Saturday by a resentful staffer, who did not replace towelling completely and we found out later, threw out or bags we were saving in the cabinet under the sink for our own trash and shopping.
